Our feature film Mami Wata, which wrapped in January 2021 has been selected to participate in the Final Cut at the 78th Venice Film Festival. This is the first for a Nigerian film, and the Mami Wata, led by producer Oge Obasi and director C.J. Obasi will be joining 5 other projects from September 4 – 7, 2021. This is the 9th edition of the project which is dedicated to provide concrete assistance in the completion of films from Africa and from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria; and to offer producers and directors an opportunity to present films still in the production phase to international film professionals and distributors in order to facilitate post-production and promote co-production partnerships and market access. A huge win for the project which has been in development since 2016.
